Homemade rat trap
Men who are accustomed to tinkering can do a major construction. The rat trap for large rats is made of 1 - 2 mm thick sheet, spring wire and rubber bands.
- Weld a box with open ends about 170 mm high, 200 mm wide and 400 mm long.
- Make 2 doors, 10 mm larger than the size of the end, and plus 200 mm in length, with a cone 100 mm in size at the top. They should touch each other when open on the roof of the drawer.
- Drill holes in the side walls so that light enters.
- Attach the doors to the awnings to the upper rungs. At the bottom, weld small pins to them to pull on the elastic bands that cover them.
- Make a hole in the center of the ceiling. Weld the stud up. Pass a bar through the rocker.
- The rat bait in the rat trap is suspended so that when you try to remove it, the latch holding the doors on the roof is activated.
When the rat tries to remove the bait, the latch releases the doors, the rubber bands pull them down and hold them in the closed position. The rodent will be able to eat, but will not get out of the trap.
To eliminate the smell of a person from a rat trap, the inventor recommends, after attaching the bait, to put a little sawdust on the bottom and set them on fire by closing the doors. The smoke will smoke everything and take away the smell that the person left. Then, with gloves open the doors and lock.
